Last week it was reported that a Chinese man has successfully sued his wife for giving birth to what he considered to be an excessively ugly baby girl.
The man firstly believed that the child was as a result of an affair as she looked so different from him and his wife but when DNA testing proved she was indeed his daughter he began to look for another explanation.
His wife eventually confessed to having around $100,000 of plastic surgery before they met. This had drastically changed her appearance and the baby in fact looked quite similar to her mother before the surgery.
This report has been discredited since however, it raises an interesting question.: how honest do you have to be to a potential spouse about your past? As in this case, do they have a right to know that you have had extensive surgery to look a certain way?
